Interviewer instructions
In those institutions, where the education is not free, it is to be ascertained whether the student is waived from paying tuition fee or not. Even where the education is not free, tuition fee may be waived for some students on special consideration. If he/she is fully exempted then code 1 will be entered. Where partly exempted code 2 will be given and if no exemption is provided then code 3 will be recorded. If code 1 or 2 is reported in this item only then entries are to be made in item 17 and 18.
