Questions and instructions

Literal question
Importer's Code
Interviewer instructions
Refer to box 2 for the name of the local Exporter/Supplier of the exported commodity. Use the traders reference file for the assignment of the 7-digit trader code.

NSO maintains a listing or reference file of trader's (importer/exporter) name. For trader's name not found in the traders reference file and in the list of new traders with temporary codes, refer the problem to the unit supervisor.

Guidelines in the assignment of permanent traders code
1. An exporter not found in the alphabetical listing of traders reference file should be assigned a temporary code. Only new traders with importation for at least five months within a year will be assigned a permanent code.

2. Exporters using Export Declaration without foreign exchange proceeds not listed in the traders reference file will be assigned a code of 9999996 regardless of the value of the commodity imported.

Notes
