Interviewer instructions
Whether or not the household belong to scheduled tribe or scheduled caste or neo-Buddhists will be indicated against this item in terms of the specified codes. Those who do not come under any of first three groups will be assigned code 9 meant to cover all other categories. In case, different members belong to different household groups, the group to which the head of the household belongs will be considered as the 'household group' and the group code appropriate for the head of the household will be assigned.
